Soundally supports artists' works within the LINE platform, which guarantees that musicians keep 100% of their rights while boosting their independent careers.

Background

Indie artist uploading music via LINE MUSIC skyrocketed by 530%
In Japan, there were very few digital platforms for music distribution services. A certain service was exclusively used and well-known to artists, leaving little competition in the market. Soundally saw an opportunity to become a leading service in the music distribution business while also promoting musical events and supporting artists' works within the LINE platform. With these goals in mind, Soundally set out to create a unique and innovative service that would meet the needs of both artists and music fans in Japan.

Project Goal

Making music available to the public through new platforms and channel
The service is aiming for providing music distribution service to everyone who wants to show their music to the public across the world and also manage their outcome. With our easy-to-use design, everyone whoever they are should enjoy the service.

Conceptual Design Iteration

Iterative design refinement to align with brand identity and ensure easy to use layout
Each iteration involved refining and adjusting elements to create a cohesive and visually appealing design that resonates with the established brand identity. Simultaneously, I focused on optimizing the layout for user-friendliness, considering ease of navigation and comprehension. This iterative approach allowed for continuous improvement, addressing any inconsistencies and refining the design.

Landing Page

Crafting a user-engaging landing page to start a service
The landing page is the very first page that users get to know about the service, which means it should provide essential information about the service for users to have enough understanding of the service. It is designed for users to navigate and understand the service easily with its own brand identity.

Final Dashboard

Dashboard enabling to browse the data at a glance
This is the main page of this service, which presents the results and analytics of rolled-out products. With this page, users are able to keep track of their records all at once.

Responsive Design

Keep consistency with integrated experience on mobile
I made sure to keep a consistent look and feel with the Mobile UI in order to provide the same user experience as the PC environment. With this consistent UI/UX, users can easily navigate the service without confusion.

Takeaway

Map out the design schedule in advance and conduct the design iteration quickly to reduce resources
I figured out that it is vital to get the point of the service quickly and dive into the design iteration to see how it would look and fit the service intention. Then it was possible to confirm the concept and map out the detailed schedule to implement the design with the engineers. So, I tested designs as much as I can within a fixed design schedule to see the possibilities as well as checked the situation of development. Once the design direction is confirmed clearly, it was smooth to move on to the development to implement.
